While online play is still a virtual wasteland from what I’ve seen and I’m sad that asynchronous multiplayer isn’t in there (though while it might be difficult, I don’t know why it couldn’t happen), I have to say that I finally played online live and it’s a lot of fun! It’s not as hard to play on the iPad as it was and the Steam version works really well. Long-time readers of this blog may remember that I had a bit of a lukewarm reaction to the app, but I do have to say that it has improved quite a bit. I look forward to trying them out in the app!Īs soon as we know what “soon” means. I do have the expansion, but I haven’t had a chance to play with them yet and do a review (review of Awesome Level 9000 coming soon, though!). This expansion adds four new factions: Kitty Cats, Princesses, Fairies, and Mythic Horses (oh, the My Little Pony jokes have probably been worn out by now). Pretty Pretty Smash Up will be the second expansion after Awesome Level 9000 to be added to the app. No, they announced that the Smash Up app is going to be getting the next expansion! Most sets are expansion boxes with 4 factions, although there are many exceptions to that pattern as well, namely the Core Set, The Big Geeky Box, Smash Up: Munchkin, It’s Your Fault, The Bigger Geekier Box, and Smash Up: Marvel. Sets typically include factions, bases, VP tokens, an updated rulebook, dividers and sometimes a box that can hold many decks of cards nicely. No, it wasn’t a new Talisman: Originsexpansion or anything like (though I do love getting early access to those!). There are currently 17 released Smash Up boxed sets. Yesterday, I received an email from Nomad Gamesthat made me very excited.
